Triyuga municipality mayor Baldev Chaudhary told GoalNepal that they were planning to install floodlights at Tharuhat Udayapur stadium.

Chaudhary said they would work together with province 1 government to install the lights.

"It's our important project. We are planning to install the lights at the stadium. Province 1 government is assisting us to construct the parapets. We will install the lights. It will be done in my tenure as a mayor", said Chaudhary.

"We expect more support from provincial and central government. We want to make our people in Triyuga municipality healthy and sporty", he added.

ANFA spokesperson Kiran Rai is the head of stadium construction committee.

Recently, province 1 government separated Nrs 5 crore to install lights at Sahid Maidan, Biratnagar.

Elsewhere in Battar, Nuwakot, Bidur municipality (province 3) also wants to install floodlights at campus ground.
