Nepal U19 women’s team will lock horns against Thailand U19 team in AFC U19 qualifiers at Chonburi stadium on Wednesday.

Pre-match conference was organized in Chonburi where coach Hari Om Shrestha revealed his plan.

“We will play for a draw. Thailand are very strong team”, said Shrestha in the pre-match conference.

“We will play with one striker (Rekha Paudel). We will concentrate more on defense line and will rely on counter moves”, Shrestha further revealed.

“Our target is definitely to go second round. As hosts for the final round, Thailand has already confirmed their spot. We will play draw against Thailand and will win matches against India and Pakistan”, he added.

Nepal U19 team has three senior team players.

“They (Saru Limbu, Manjali Yonjan and Anjana Rana Magar) have added strength to the team. We have prepared well for this qualifiers. Participating in SAFF U18 championship is a big boost”, he added.

When asked to comment on Thailand, he said, “I have watched their game on YouTube. They have good wingers and their forward line is good too. First game in any tournament will be difficult to play but we are ready to play against Them”.
