Gurkha Boys Football Club, Perth Clinches Title Of Second YUWA Cup 2025
Gurkha Boys Football Club, based in Perth, Western Australia, recently clinched the title of the Second YUWA Cup 2025, defeating Nepalese United Football Club 4-2 in a penalty shootout.
The tournament, organized by YUWA, is a running shield competition, with Nepalese United FC entering as the defending champions.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw during regular time, with Rabindra Kunwar scoring first for Nepalese United FC before Santosh Magar equalized for Gurkha Boys FC.
In the penalty shootout, Raman Shrestha made two crucial saves, earning him the titles of Man of the Match and Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament. Meanwhile, Rabindra Kunwar of Nepalese United FC was recognized as both the tournament's top scorer and best player.
Fair play trophy was awarded to Team YUWA.
