
With an impressive win, RTC Football Club, Bhutan has entered the semi-finals of the ongoing 25th Buddha Subba Gold Cup International Invitational Knockout Football Tournament.
In the third quarter-final, held on Monday, RTC defeated Raja Club, Itahari, Sunsari 4-1 to enter the last four. In the match held at Dharan Stadium, Sonam, Sonam Chojang, Karma Jamtso and Nenda scored for RTC.
On the other hand, Alex scored the only goal for Raja Club.
RTC's Sonam was named Man of the Match in the match. He received a cash prize of Rs 10,000 and a trophy. The fourth quarter-final match under the tournament will be played on Tuesday, Magh 22, between New Road Team (NRT), Kathmandu and Kakarvitta Football Training Center, Jhapa, the organizers informed.
The winner of the tournament, organized by Dharan Football Club, Sunsari, will receive a title and a cash prize of Rs 1 million, while the runner-up will receive a trophy and Rs 500,000, the organizers informed.
