Risheshwar 11 Football Club and Chitlang Football Club, after winning their respective matches in the two semi-finals held on Monday, will face each other in the final of the ongoing 5th Thaha Gold Cup Knockout Football Tournament.
In the first semi-final, Risheshwar won 8-2 against the active youth club. For Risheshwar, Richard Wilson scored 4 goals and Sanjok Maharjan scored three goals. Another goal was scored by Samiraj Thokar.
Sunil Shahi Thakuri and Sushan Nagarkoti scored for the defeated active. Riseshwar's Richard Wilson who scored four goals alone in the match was declared man of the match.
Similarly, in the second semi-final, Chitlang defeated Kurdan Academy by 7-6 in the penalty shootout. Before that, both teams played a 2-2 draw in the scheduled time.
Faisal scored both goals for Chitlang towards the scheduled time. Anil Khadka and Rohit Thapa scored for Kurdan. Kurdan's Rohit Thapa was also selected as the man of the match.
Now Riseshwar and Chitlang will compete for the title in the final tomorrow. The winner of the competition organized by Thaha Municipality Municipal Sports Development Committee, Makwanpur and managed by Shikhar Club, Shikharkot, will receive 2 lakhs in cash along with the title, while the runner-up will receive 1 lakh.
