News Kathmandu: Khumjung Yuwa Club and Thamichhowa Enter SFs Of 14th Khumbu Lhosar Cup

On the fifth day of the '14th Khumbu Lhosar Cup' football competition, Khumjung Yuwa Club and Thamichhowa Football Club have entered the semi-finals from Pole "A".

In the first match between Khunde Community Club and Thamichowa Football Club at the Sanogoucharan grounds, in Kathmandu, Thamichhowa Football Club won with a 5-1 goal difference and Chiring Kalden Sherpa was the man of the match.

Similarly, in the next match between Amadblam Ywva Club and Khumjung Yuwa Club, Khumjung Yuva Club won with a 2-0 goal difference. Fura Chiring Sherpa was the man of the match in the second match.

This 14th edition of the 'Khumbu Lhosar Cup' competition is jointly organized by Yambu Thamisro Kidug Kathmandu and Umichchowa Yuwa Group, two organizations of Thamicho region.

The winner of this competition will get a running shield of Khumbu Lhosar Cup, a medal and a certificate along with one lakh rupees in cash.

This competition, which has been organized for the past 13 years after the Lhosar festival of the Sherpa community, will be held among the youth born in different villages of Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality in Solukhumbu and currently in Kathmandu, and the aim of this game is to increase the Sherpa youth's love for sports, show their talent and connect the community.
