The host Mauvadevi Youth Club has entered the semi-finals of the 3rd Manharwa Gold Cup.
They defeated Namaste Yuva Club Hariwan 1-0 in the opening match at Mouwadevi Sports Ground located in Jitpursimra 18 on Saturday and entered the last four.
Reshamraj Majhi scored the decisive goal in the host's victory. In the scheduled 70-minute match, Majhi scored a goal with a header in the 38th minute. Akash Bahadur Rana of the host club was declared the man of the match. He received two thousand five hundred in cash.
The tournament will be played between Regal Hetauda Resort and Rautahat FC on Sunday. The winner of the competition, which will be held until Magh 20th, will receive two lakhs and the runner-up will receive one lakh. Eight teams are participating in the competition.
Earlier, the competition was inaugurated by Saroj Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhesh Province. While inaugurating the competition, Chief Minister Yadav promised to allocate NRs 5 million for the upgradation of Mouwadevi playground immediately and to include it in the next year's plan.
Chief Minister Yadav has also said that a reform center building will be constructed in Nijgarh to build a drug-free society. At the opening ceremony, the Sports Minister of Madhes Province, Surita Kumari Sah, said that the ministry would provide four lakhs for the competition.
In the program, Member of the House of Representatives and former minister Jwalakumari say that she is ready to proceed by coordinating with the state government.
