Dangihat FC of Morang has entered the semi-finals of the ongoing 1st Kirat Gold Cup by winning by a wide margin.

With an unexpected result, Morang sent the visiting team United FC Darjeeling home in the first round. Morang managed to win the hearts of the supporters by defeating Darjeeling by 6-3.

In Morang's victory, Umesh Rai scored a goal within 8 minutes of the game and took the lead. 3 goals were possible for Morang in the first half. In the 39th minute, Sanjay Dhimal took the lead. Similarly, Arun Limbu scored a goal in the injury time of the first half to make a wide gap of 3-0 goals.

Similarly, in 2 minutes of the second half, Sanjay Dhimal scored his second personal goal to make the difference 4-0. In 4 minutes of the second half, Abhishek Limbu scored a rebound ball to give Morang a 5-0 lead. Morang's first goal was scored by Abhishek Limbu in the second 61st minute.

Dajirling players tried to come back in the second half. Rehit Thapa of Darjeeling opened the scoring in the 10th minute of the second half. Ashish Rai of Darjeeling scored again in the third quarter-final match when the score was 5-1. Ashish Rai scored in the 53rd minute.

In the 36th minute of the second half, Darjeeling's captain Ganesh Limbu scored a goal to make it 6-3. He scored through Umang Rai's pass. However, there was no chance for victory. Morang's Abhishek Limbu became the man of the match. He got 5 thousand in cash.

Himalayan FC of Kathmandu will compete against Karnasin Sonam Smriti Club of Taplejung in the last quarterfinal match on Tuesday (tomorrow) in the Gold Cup organized by Panchthar FC.

The winner of the final match to be held on Mangsir 23 will receive a cash prize of Rs. 444444.
