1st Taplejung gold cup is kicking off on Bhadra 14 in Fungling, Taplejung.

Taplejung gold cup organizing committee president Devraj Gurung told GoalNepal that the event would be played at Bhanu Ma Vi grounds with eight teams from the region.

The championship will have a winning purse of NRs 3,11,000 and runners up team will get NRs 1,51,000.

The organizers are now maintaining the field and constructing make-shift parapets for 10,000 expected fans.
