ANFA To Receive 17 Crore Rupees For Eight Seasons Of NSL

Kathmandu (GoalNepal) - Nepal Sports and Event Management Pvt Ltd will pay ANFA a total sum of Rs. 17.21 Crores for eight seasons of the Nepal Super League. According to the NSL press release, a contract was signed with the amount specified between ANFA and NSEM on Tuesday.
ANFA General Secretary Kiran Rai and NSL Chairperson Ashrayata Karki Chaudhary signed the new long-term NSL deal today. Chairperson Chaudhary also handed over a cheque for Rs. 1.5 Crores to General Secretary Rai for the first season of NSL.
This deal comes when a few A Division League clubs are reluctant to play the top-tier league in specified time.
The second season of the Nepal Super League had been agreed to start on several occasions previously but due to various reasons, it couldn't happen. Some A Division League clubs were not pleased with the franchise league and tried to intervene. The new ANFA committee also cancelled the previous contract and formed a new committee to revisit the contract.
And today, the breakthrough has happened. NSL's second season is likely to be held after the completion of the A Division League season.
A total of ten teams will be competing in the second season of NSL.
