Bikash Meraglia scored his first goal in Nepal as Himalayan Sherpa made it into the quarterfinals of the fifth Chief Minister Sudurpaschim Khaptad Gold Cup football tournament with a 4-0 win over Nawa Jan Jagriti Youth Club today. Bikash, who represented Chyasal Youth Club in the A Division League is playing for the Mountaineers in the tournaments around the country.
In a one-sided encounter, Bikash Meraglia opened the scoring in the 30th minute of the match in his debut for the side. Ulrich Siewe doubled the lead for HSC in the 41st minute. Ulrich added another in the 57th minute to take his personal tally to two goals for the match. Purna Bahadur Gurung rounded off the match with another goal in the 81st minute of the match.
HSC will now face the hosts Sudurpaschim-11 in the quarterfinals. Ulrich Siewe who scored two goals was also named the player of the match.
The winners of the tournament will receive 21 lakhs rupees and the runners-up will receive 10 lakhs rupees.
