Khamlalung Football Stambha Gufa Mela 2078 Football Tournament got underway at Samthang, Khamlalung, Terathum on Thursday.

A Friendly match was played in the opening day. Team comprised of Nepal Police & APF personnel defeated a team comprised of an entreprenuers 2-0 in the friendly match.

Ward number 2 of Aatharai rural municipality is organizing the championship. Ward chairman Dil Pahim Limbu said they were excited to host the event to inaugurate the newly constructed field at Jhakri gufa.

Cultural program was also performed in the opening day.

Chief guest, Rural municipality chairman, Man B Limbu inaugurated the championship.
