In Netra Guragain Smriti Gold Cup held in Myanglung, Tehrathum, two pre-quarter final matches have been completed on Sunday as well.
In the first match held at Myanglung Stadium on Sunday, Three Star Jalaj Tehrathum defeated Dream Boys Tehrathum by two zero goals and entered the quarter finals. Similarly, in the second match completed on Sunday, B.M. Belbari defeated Munal Football Club Tehrathum 2-1 and defending champion has entered the quarter finals.
On the occasion of Lakhejatra and Sri Krishna Janmashtami, Pravin Mote, president of Mangalung Spotting Club, informed that the competition was conducted at Mangalung Stadium this year as in previous years. President Mote said that the winner of the competition, which will be held until Bhadra 15, will receive a trophy of 2 lakh and the runner-up will receive 1 lakh.
Similarly, match coordinator Rajhang Peerati Subba said that the best keeper, best player, best defender, high scorer and emerging players will be awarded with appropriate prizes. The organizers have informed that the last two matches of the pre-quarter finals will be held on Monday.
The first match in the afternoon will be between Chhathar Rural Municipality Tehrathum and Itahari Football Club. The second match is scheduled to be played between Jirikhimti Tehrathum vs Chulachuli Damak at 2 PM.
