Dan Bahadur memorial Makwanpur district league got underway on Wednesday in Hetauda.

FC Internet City defeated Pareli yuwa Samaj 3-0 in the opening match played at Hupra chaur, Hetauda. Manish Ghalan scored a brace and Sanjaya Negi scored another for the winners. Ghalan became the man of the match.

In the second match, Prataishil yuwa club and New combine club played 2-2 draw. Manoj Tamang and Aashish Lama scored apiece for Combine and Buddha Lama and Adarsha Shrestha scored for Pragatishil. Buddha Lama became the man of the match.

In the third match, Martyr's memorial club defeated FC Internet club 2-0. Krishna Rumba and Baburam Majhi scored apiece for the winners.

Madan Bhandari sports academy defeated Hetauda football academy 4-0 in the last match of the day.

Earlier province 3 minister Yubaraj Dulal inaugurated the championship.

33 teams are taking part in the league.

DFA president Tika Lama said winners of the league will get Nrs 1 lakh. Runners up team will get Nrs 50,000.
