Rekha Paudel Becomes First Nepali Women Player To Score A Goal In AFC Champions League
Rekha Poudel, the budding forward from Nepal, who recently joined UAE's top women's league club Abu Dhabi Country Club for the new season, has scored her first goal in the AFC Women's Champions League. Also, Rekha has become the first Nepali player to score a goal in the AFC Women's Champions League.
Abu Dhabi, which is in Group A towards the initial stage of the tournament, won 2-1 over Yong Elephants of Cambodia while playing the first match on Sunday. Rekha scored the second goal for Abu Dhabi in the match.
Abu Dhabi will play their next match against Myanmar's Myawdi on August 28. Abu Dhabi's group also includes the famous club Al Nasr of Saudi Arabia. Abu Dhabi will play against Al Nasr on 31 August.
