JB United Football Club has won the title of the second Gorkhali Gold Cup Knockout Football Tournament organized by Gorkha Football Club, Malaysia on the occasion of Malaysian festival Hari Raya.
JB United defeated the host Gorkhali FC in a tiebreaker in the final match at the Batu Pahat Stadium in the Malaysian city and managed to capture the title.
Before that, both the teams played a goalless draw in the scheduled match. In the tiebreaker, JB United won 4-3 over Gorkhali and became the champion.
JB United, who became the winner of the competition, received 25,000 Malaysian ringgit in cash with the title, while Gorkhali, the runner-up, was forced to settle for a trophy, medal and certificate along with 10,000 Malaysian ringgit.
A total of 16 teams participated in the two-day competition organized between clubs of the Nepali community.
