
The home team of Mangsebung Rural Municipality, Ilam has entered the finals of the 16th Atmanand Cup International Invitational Knockout Football Tournament held here.
In the first semi-final held at the Atmanand Stadium on Tuesday, Mangsebung managed to get closer to the title by defeating Sirijunga Sporting Club, Morang 2-1. Mangsebung's captain and goalkeeper Ayush Limbu was declared the man of the match.
The organizers informed that the second semi-final match on Wednesday 13th November will be played between Mane Bhanjyang Football Club, Darjeeling, India and Tijok Youth Club, Panchthar.
The winner of the competition held on the occasion of the 70th birth anniversary of Kirant Dharmaguru Atmanand Lingden, organized by Atma Pavitra Hakchat Yakchum and Great Service Ceremony, Mangsebung, Ilam, will receive a cash prize of Rs 3,11,170 and the runner-up will receive Rs 2,05,170.
The final match will be held on the 17th of Mangsir.
