Deepjyoti Youth Club has won the District League Football Tournament, which was held by Kanchanpur District Football Association as part of the All Nepal Football Association's yearly program (ANFA).
Deepjyoti won the title in a tiebreaker 5-3 over Mahakali Youth Club. Prior to that, both teams had drawn 3-3 in the scheduled time in the competitive final match.
Deep Jyoti's Dev Puri, Bhuvan Joshi, and Niraj AD scored, while Mahakali's Gaurav Dhami, Akash Chand, and Santosh Chhetri scored.
Deep Jyoti was successful in getting the result in their favor in the tiebreaker. Karan Pal of Deep Jyoti was named the tournament's best goalkeeper. Similarly, Mahakali's Veer Dhami was named best defender, while Deep Jyoti's Niraj Thapa Magar was named best midfielder.
Deep Jyoti's Karan Dev Puri, meanwhile, was named the best forward. The highest goal scorer award went to Gyanu Joshi of Secured Nepal. Mahakali's Santosh Chhetri was named the tournament's best player.
The chief guest, District Sports Development Committee Chairman Om Basnet, Kanchanpur District Football Association Vice President Gajendra Raj Pandey, and others presented the award winners.
Deep Jyoti, the league winner, will now represent Kanchanpur district in the province league. The district league football competition had been attended by twelve of the association's 14 clubs.
