Himalaya United has moved to the semifinals of 9th Himalayan Cup.

In the second quarterfinal match played at Himalayan Primary School ground, Diyo, Butwal, Rupandehi on Wednesday, Himalaya United defeated Kapilvastu 1-0

Ritesh Malla scored the match winner for the winning team.

Chadian Yuwa Club will take on Banging Welfare Society in the third quarterfinal match on Thursday.

The championship has a winning purse of Rs 1,11,111 while runners up team will walk away with Rs 55,555.

Sixteen teams are participating in the championship that is organized by Himalaya Community Development Centre.

Final match is scheduled on Falgun 1.
