Nepal vs Mauritius friendly could be played behind closed doors but ANFA general secretary Indraman Tuladhar waved off any official confirmations regarding this.

Dasharath stadium, which is owned by National Sports council, is hosting the African nation in a two match friendly series on Jan 29 and Feb 1, 2022.

Due to recent spike in COVID cases in Kathmandu, NSC has requested ANFA not to allow spectators for the friendlies.

"We haven't confirmed about allowing or not allowing spectators. It's still under discussion and we'll assess the situation before making a final decision", said Tuladhar.

Nepal government has allowed organizers to host the event with safety protocols followed and random antigen test to be done among 1/3 capacity in the stadium.

Meanwhile, ANFA is finalizing the broadcasting rights for the series. Tuladhar also informed GoalNepal that the talks with Kantipur TV regarding the broadcasting of the two matches is at the final stages.
