Hosts New Star club has entered final of 3rd New Star international gold cup football tournament in Jhapa.

New Star defeated Red Horse FC, Ilam 1-0 in a tight match played at Khopbadi, Birtamod on Wednesday.

Biswas Lawati scored the match winner in 57th minute and became the player of the match.

Barah XI will play against jana Sahayog yuwa club, Sundar Haraicha in the second semifinal match on Thursday.

The championship has a winning purse of NRs 2 lakh while runners up team will get NRs 1 lakh.
