Shyam Thapa memorial cup got underway in Banke on Tuesday.

Masuriya football academy from Kailali defeated UNBC Dang 1-0 in the opening match. Diwas Bohora scored the match winner in 65th minute.

ANFA president Karma Tsering Sherpa, ANFA VP Upendra Man Singh, Banke DFA president Bhojraj Shahi and other officials were present in the program.

17 teams are taking part in the event, which has a winning purse of NRs 1,05000. Runners up team will get NRs 55,000.
