Jay Kissan Sports Club, Banke is organizing Shyam Thapa memorial cup from poush 7 at Khajura.

The club is organizing the event in memory of Thapa, who lost his life in an accident two years ago.

Banke Bardiya Maitri Samaj, Japan is sponsoring for the event. The championship has a winning purse of Nrs 1,05,000 and runners up team will get NRs 55,000.

Club president Dipu Rana said they were hosting the event to honor late Thapa for his contribution to the development of the game in the region.

President of Samaj, Sushil Malla said they were glad to sponsor the event.
