Baglung municipality has lifted the title of 2nd Mayor cup football tournament.

Baglung defeated Chaudandigadhi municipality 5-2 in the final match played on Tuesday (February 4, 2020).

Uttam Gurung scored a brace while Pramesh Thapa, Dhruba Ghimire and Gobin Thapa scored apiece for the winners. Sarad Rai scored both goals for the losing side.

The champions received Nrs 3 lakh and runners up team got NRs 2 lakh. Two semifinalists, Bhimad municipality and Beni municipality got Nrs 60,000 each.

Nishan Thapa was adjudged the most valuable player of the tournament and received Nrs 10,000 cash.

Baglung municipality organized the championship, which is coordinated by Baglung DFA.
