Majhi community from Sunsari and Nuwakot have won their respective matches in Majhi Cup at Bakaiya, Makwanpur.

Sunsari defeated Dhadhing 5-0 on Saturday to enter quarterfinals. Dev Kumar Majhi scored a hat trick while Sabin Majhi and Prabin Majhi scored apiece for the winners. Hat trick hero Majhi became the man of the match.

Nuwakot got walkover from Jhapa.

15 teams are taking part in the event, which has a winning purse of Nrs 1 lakh.
