Hosts Nuwakot XI clinched the title of 2nd Nuwakot Gold Cup defeating Sankata Club 5-3 on penalties in the final match of 2nd Nuwakot gold cup at Battar campus ground, Nuwakot on Friday.

The teams played 1-1 draw in the regulation time to force the match to spot-kick battle.

Pujan Uparkoti scored for Sankata in 23rd minute while Victor leveled the score for hosts in 38th minute.

The winning team received Nrs 6 lakh while runners up team got Nrs 3 lakh.

Nuwakot DFA and Nuwakot district sports development committee organized the championship.
