News Four Football Administrators Who Could Run For ANFA Office

Candidacy announcement from former ANFA CEO Indraman Tuladhar came abit surprising. But football circle knows who are running for the post. There are four notable candidates for the election.

ANFA is holding highly anticipated central election on March 28, 2018.

District FAs are holding election from December 20 to January 19, 2018.

We are presenting you the four football administrators who could file their candidacy for ANFA president post.

1) Indraman Tuladhar
Indraman Tuladhar holds so many positions under his belt. He is the president of Sankata club. He is a Taekwondo coach at national sports council and also a Nepali congress leader. He resigned from ANFA CEO and NSC coaching job before contesting in provincial election last month. However he lost the election. On Tuesday, he announced his candidacy, which is little surprising for all.

2) Karma Tsering Sherpa
Former ANFA VP Karma Tsering Sherpa is the president of Himalayan Sherpa Club. He lost ANFA election last year to Narendra Shrestha by mere votes. He is all sure to vie for the post. Sources said he would announce his candidacy later on.

3) Mani Kunwar
ANFA VP Mani Kunwar is expected to run for the office. He is the brother-in-law of then ANFA president Ganesh Thapa, who is suspended by FIFA for ten years on corruption charges.

4) Narendra Shrestha
Veteran Narendra Shrestha is expected to run for the office but sources said he would pave way for Mani Kunwar.

Challenges:

There are many challenges at ANFA. The newly elected president should first start re-form process before making further plans. Organization of league, national team long term plan, decentralization of programs & funds, academy set up in seven provinces, youth academy projects and democratic approach in the office are some of the challenges he should fix.

No official confirmation about filing candidacy has been made yet. Time will disclose the candidates for the post and what luring their agenda will be.
