Hyolmo Naagi defeated Bhotenamlang 1-0 in the opening match of 1st Pachpokhari Thangpaal President Cup at Sindhupalchowk on Saturday.

Punra Lama scored the match winner in 27 minute.

In the second match of the day, Indrawoti Gaau Palika played 1-1 with Thangpaalkot Teacher Team. Indrawoti scored the opener in the 19th minute through Subash tamang but Dhukpa Lama of Teacher team leveled the score in the 21st minute.

Baruwa drew 2-2 with Young Heart in another match. Manoj Rai of Baruwa scored two goals in 10th minute and 34th minute. Ashok Tamang and Gylbo Lama scored apiece in the 15th minute and in the 34th minute respectively.

Mingmaar Lama scored the decisive goal in the 9th minute for Thangpaalkot Youth Club to beat FC Thangpalkot 1-0.

17 teams are taking part in the tournament. They are divided into four groups.

Group winners and group runners-up team will qualify for quarterfinals.
