ANFA has announced Nrs 1 lakh each to member of Nepal women's team for their heoric performance in recently held Hero women's cup.

Nepal lost 3-1 to Myanmar in the final match. The team received Nrs 8 lakh from the organizers.

ANFA president Karma Tsering Sherpa along with other officials met the team in Biratnagar on Wednesday and announced the reward.

Team is preparing for upcoming SAFF women's championship that Nepal is hosting in Biratnagar from March 12-22, 2019.

Seven SAARC countries are taking part in the event.

ANFA also said that they will leave no stone unturned to honor the players if they win SAFF women's championship.

Nepal have never won SAFF women's championship.
