Nepal skipper Biraj Maharjan said that he has no plan to retire from football immediately.
Maharjan - who pushed Pakistan defender unnecesarily inside the box and awarded Pakistan a spot kick - spoke to Nepalese press in Dhaka on Wednesday.
Nepal lost the match 2-1 at Bangabandhu stadium.
Maharjan said, "It feels great to have played 68 times for Nepal. I have no plan to retire immediately. I will play as long as my body permits".
He added, "We need to give chances to young players. I am now looking for safe landing with football", he added.
Maharjan will create history if he plays against Bhutan tomorrow. He will become the first Nepalese football player to earn highest caps of 69. Former skipper Raju Shakya had played 68 times for Nepal.
Commenting on Pakistan match, Maharjan said, "It was very important match for us. Sadly we lost the match. We wasted so many chances. We couldn't control our game in the dying moment".
He added team still had chance to progress to knockout stage.
"Anything can happen. If we win two remaining matches, we will go through. There is no negativity in the team. Problem is that we don't have consistency in our performance", added Maharjan.
