Toffichoo Junior Champions Cup, an inter-school futsal tournament continued today all four grounds, to decide the venue winners.

At Grassroot, in under 14 category, Budhanilkantha and Insight Vision won their quarterfinal matches easily with a score line of 5-0 and 3-1 against Trinetra and Apex Life respectively. In other quarterfinal matches, Himalayan and John Dewey played a 4-4 draw, with the latter winning 3-1 on penalties.

TIA got a bye on their match with Yu Yutshu. In the semifinal matches, Budhanilkantha and Insight Vision won their games respectively to meet in the final where Budhanilkantha ran out 5-1 winners. They will now play the mega semifinal game Friday against winner of other venues.

In the under 12 category, John Dewey and Yuyutshu played a 2-2 and Yuyutshu won on penalties to advance to the semis. Insight Vision ‘A’ won comfortably over Ideal with a score line of 4-0. Similarly, Daffodil cruised to a 4-0
victory over TIA and Trinetra’s striker scored the winning goal claim victory over Kasthamandap.

In the semis, Daffodil earned a hard fought 2-1 victory over Insight Vision ‘A’ and Trinetra edged over Yuyutshu with a thrilling 4-3 victory. Trinetra gained victory over Daffodil in the final game to advance to the mega semifinal with a tight score line of 1-0.

At Chyasal, in the under 14 category, Premier A became venue winners to book their place in the mega semifinal by beating Ullens by 6-2. In the under 12 category Rato Bangala beat St. Xavier’s by 2-0 to secure their position in the mega semifinals.

At Samakhusi, in under 14 category, Himrashmi, Shivapuri, The Excelsior and Sanskriti won their quarterfinal matches. In the semifinal matches, Himrashmi defeated Sanskriti and Shivapuri beat The Excelsior.

In the final game, Shivapuri comfortably beat Himrashmi 5-2 to advance to the megasemifinal as venue winners. In the under 12 category, The Excelsior, Sanskriti, Amar and Saipal won their games, with Amar School beating Excelsior and Saipal defeating Sanskriti in the semifianls. The final game was won by Saipal 3-1 on penalties and they advance to the mega semifinal as venue winners.

At Baneshwor, in the under 14 category, EPS advanced to the mega semifinal with a thrilling 6-5 tie breaker victory over Apple. In under 12 category Gurukul zoomed passed all the teams to the mega semifinal with easy victories both in the semifinal and final. They thrashed Vidhya Sanskar 5-0 in the semis and Olympia 3-0 in the venue finals.

The mega semifinal and final will take place at Grassroot.
