Australian coach Matt Ross has been officially appointed as the head coach of Nepal's men's national football team.
The announcement was made after a formal contract signing ceremony at the ANFA Complex, with ANFA General Secretary Kiran Rai and Ross putting pen to paper.
The new contract is set for one year, marking the beginning of a fresh chapter in Nepal's football journey. Ross, who brings valuable international coaching experience, will lead the team through a series of important fixtures, starting with a friendly match against Singapore on March 21, 2025, in Singapore.
Following the friendly, Ross will face his first major competitive challenge with Nepal as the team takes on Malaysia in the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers on March 25, 2025, in Johor Bahru.
The upcoming fixtures are pivotal for Nepal as they aim to make a strong push in the qualifiers.
