Jhapa district has won the title of Koshi province level women's football tournament.
In the final, Jhapa became the champion by defeating Bhojpur 1-0 The only goal scored by Jennifer Magar in the 15th minute of the game became the decisive goal for Jhapa to win the title.
Jhapa, who became the winner, received a cash prize of 2 lakhs along with the title, while Bhojpur, the runner-up, was satisfied with a trophy, medal and certificate along with 1 lakh.
Jhapaki Khusama Rai became the player of the match in the final. For that, she received 2,000 cash and a trophy. Jasoda Limbu of Jhapa was also chosen as the best goalkeeper in other categories.
Kamala Shrestha of Bhojpur was declared the best defender while Simran Rai of Jhapa was declared the best midfielder. Aarti Bhujel of Bhojpur became the best forward and Sant Bahadur Raimakri of Jhapa became the best coach.
Riya Rai of the home team Khotang was chosen as the rising player. All those who excelled in the individual category received 3,000 each and a trophy. Similarly, Jennifer Magar of Jhapa won the highest scorer award. For that, she received 5,000 cash and a trophy.
Jhapa's Jennifer Magar was also declared the best player of the tournament. For that, she received 30,000 cash and a trophy. The chief guest of the closing program, Parshuram Basnet, Member Secretary of Koshi State Sports Development Board, awarded the winners and runners-up.
A total of 14 districts of Koshi province participated in the competition organized by Provincial Sports Development Board, Koshi Province, Biratnagar and District Sports Development Committee, Khotang.
