News Nawalparasi Gold Cup: Sahara Club, Pokhara Enters Final

Sahara Club, Pokhara has entered the finals of the first Nawalparasi Gold Cup National Knockout Football Tournament.

In the second semi-final held on Tuesday, Sahara reached the final after defeating the host Rising Star Football Club, Nawalparasi 1-0.

The only goal scored by Bipul Gautam in the 34th minute of the first half in the match at Shahid Smriti Stadium located in Sunwal-12 became the decisive goal to bring Sahara closer to the title. Sahara's defender Jeevan Gurung was declared the man of the match. He received 5,000 cash and a trophy as an award.

Sahara will now compete against Hanami BFC, Chitwan in the final on Thursday 24th of June for the title, according to match coordinator Sandeep KC. It is to be remembered that BFC defeated Racing Sahara Club, Kohalpur in the first semi-final and made it to the finals.

Dhamendra Agrahari, Secretary General of the Foundation, said that the winner of the competition organized by Rising Star Community Development Institute, Sunwal-12, Bhumi, Nawalparasi will receive 511,000 cash along with the title, while the runner-up will receive 311,000.
