Bardibas Nagar Club, Bardibas has entered the semi-finals of the ongoing 3rd Sonapur Gold Cup Knockout Football Tournament.

In the second quarter-final held on Sunday, Bardibas defeated Pathri-11 Football Club, Morang in a tie-breaker and entered the last four.

Before that, both the teams played a 1-1 draw in the fixed time match at Bishnu Mavi, Sonapur, Duhabi-8. Towards the scheduled time, Pradeep Mirching scored for Bardibas while Sanjay Dhimal scored for Pathari-11.

In the tiebreaker, Bardibas won 3-0 over Pathari and secured the semi-final spot.

Akash Shrestha of Bardibas Bardibas was declared Man of the Match in the match. Under the competition, the third quarter-final match on Monday, Chaitra 26, will be played between Birganj United, Parsa and Itahari Football Club, Sunsari, the organizers informed.

Organizers informed that the winner of the competition organized by Memory Youth Club, Sunsari, will receive 2,11,000 cash along with the title, while the runner-up will receive 1,0,5500. The final match will be held on Baisakh 1.
