Sangrila Morang Football Association, Morang has entered the finals of the ongoing 8th Birat Gold Cup International Invitational Knockout Football Tournament.

In the first semi-final held on Wednesday, Morang came close to the title after defeating APF Football Club, Kathmandu in sudden death. Before that, both teams played a goalless draw in the scheduled time match at Shahid Stadium.

In sudden death, Morang managed to enter the final by winning 4-3 against APF. Morang's goalkeeper Bishal Sunar was declared man of the match in the match.

Under the competition, the second semi-final match on Thursday, Chait 22, will be held between Machindra Football Club, Kathmandu and Sikkim Dragons Football Club, India, the organizers informed.

The winner of the tournament organized by Birat Gold Cup Football Trust, Biratnagar, will receive 11 lakhs in cash along with the title, while the runner-up will receive 5 lakhs. The final match will be held on the 24th of Chaitra.
