Church Boys United Club, which came to Dharan to play the Budhasubba Gold Cup after winning the title of the sixth Jhapa Gold Cup, was defeated in the first match on Tuesday.

Kakarvitta Football Training Center defeated Church Boys 1-0 and managed to enter the semi-finals.

Ashish Chapagain scored the only decisive goal for Kakarvitta in the match at Dharan Stadium.

Kakarvitta's Bishal Ghalan was declared the man of the match. Under the competition, the first semi-final match on Wednesday will be between the host Dharan FC and Morang District Football Association.

The winner of the tournament, organized by Dharan Football Club, Dharan, will receive a cash prize of 10 lakhs along with the title, while the runner-up will receive 5 lakhs.

The final match will be held on 3rd of Chaitra.
