Preparations for the fourth edition of Gauriganga Gold Cup to be held at Gauriganga in Kailali have been completed.

The preparations for the Gold Cup organized by Gauriganga 11 Sports Club have been completed. Dinesh Kalel, chairman of the organizer Gauriganga-11 Sports Club, informed that all the preparations since the maintenance of the ground have been completed and they are ready for the opening.

The competition will be inaugurated by Prakash Deuba, Minister of Physical Infrastructure Development of Sudurpaschim Province Government. The competition will be conducted at Likma Sports Ground in Gauriganga. 10 teams are participating in this season of the Gold Cup, which has been organized since 2074 in Gauriganga, Kailali. This year's winner will get 6 lakh cash and runner-up will get 3 lakh cash along with trophy, medal and certificate. 50,000 for the best player, 15,000 each for best category players and 5,000 for the man of the match of each game. The organizers informed that the competition was organized to emphasize the construction of another stadium that can host national level games in Kailali.

President Kalel informed that the Gold Cup has been organized since the past to put pressure on the development of football infrastructure, as sports fields are necessary for the development of the sports sector and the production of players.

The opening match of the tournament will be between Ghodaghodi Yuva Club and Sudurpaschim-11 Sports Club. The second day of the tournament will be played between Star City and BS-15 on Falgun 20. On the 21st, Black Angel will face host Gouriganga-11. On the 22nd, DDSC and Farwest Pashupati will meet, and from the 23rd, the quarter finals will be played.

Farwest Sports and Raniban will meet directly from the quarterfinals. It is mentioned in the schedule released by the organizers that the semi-finals will be played on the 25th and 26th and the final on the 28th of Falgun.
