With a 100% win, Nepal women's team became the group winner of Group B and entered the semi-finals.
In the last match of the group stage, which was completed late on Saturday night, Nepal scored an impressive 4-0 victory over Palestine. Sabitra Bhandari scored the first goal in the 42nd minute of the match at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Joddah. Nepal maintained the lead until the first half.
In the second half, Nepal added three more goals. In the 59th minute, Rekha Paudel scored the second goal for Nepal. Sabitra's shot from near the box hit the bar and then Rekha hit the net of the post.
Sabitra scored the third goal for the team in the 78th minute. Sabitra successfully used Rashmi Ghising's accurate pass to score her personal second goal. Similarly, at the end, Geeta Rana scored the fourth goal for Nepal from the penalty during the injury time and secured the team's best victory.
Similarly, in the next match of Group B held on Saturday, Syria ended the tournament happily with a 3-0 consolation victory over Iraq. With 9 points from three games, Nepal was at the top of Group B, while Palestine was at the second place with 6 points. Syria with three points finished third and Iraq with no points finished fourth.
