Ward No. 3 and Ward No. 1 won their respective matches in Barahkshetra Mayor League Cup football tournament on Wednesday.

Ward No. 3 defeated Ward No. 6 by 2-0 in the first match at Basant Ritu Ma vi's playground at Devghat.

Roshan Bhujel and Bibek Bak scored in the victory of Ward No. 3. Roshan Bhujel of the winning team Ward No. 3 was also declared the man of the match.

Similarly, in the second match, Ward No. 1 defeated Ward No. 2 by 2-1. Abhishek Shrestha alone scored two goals for ward number 1. Dipesh Tamang did it for the defeated Ward No. 2. In the match, Abhishek Shrestha of Ward No. 1 was declared Man of the Match.

The winner of the competition organized by Barahkshetra city Sports Development Committee, Sunsari, will receive 2 lakh cash along with the title, while the runner-up will receive 1 lakh. Barahkshetra Municipality, Sunsari is the patron of the competition and the conclusion of the competition will be on the 4th of Falgun.
