News Bhutan League Champs Paro FC To Compete In Two More Gold Cups

Bhutan's league champion Team Paro FC will also play Makwanpur Gold Cup and KP Oli Cup football tournament.

Bhutanese club Paro, who came to Pokhara for the first time and played the Pokhara Gold Cup, lost 2-0 in extra time to Three Star in the quarterfinals on Saturday.

The team will now play two more tournaments, Paro coach Pushpalal Sharma informed.

"We played Aharara for the first time. Even though we didn't win here, we got experience," Sharma said in the post-match press conference in Pokharra.

"We will now play Makwanpur Gold Cup and KP Oli Cup in Hetauda. He also said that the next time he comes to Pokhara, he will prepare to win.

The sixth local level Shaheed Smriti Makwanpur Gold Cup will be held from Magh 16th to 27th at Gauritar Stadium in Hetauda where a total of 12 teams including the A division clubs of Nepal will compete. The second edition of the KP Oli Cup will be held from Falgun 11 to 19 in Kathmandu and Lalitpur.

A total of 10 teams will play in the tournament organized by the National Youth Association of Nepal. In which the organizers informed that teams from India and Bhutan will also come, but the name of the team was not disclosed. Paro from Bhutan is sure to play, but the team from India is yet to be decided.
