News Pancthar: Birtamod United, Jhapa Enters Final Of 1st Kirat Gold Cup

Birtamod United Club of Jhapa made a great comeback and entered the finals of the first Kirat Gold Cup held here in Phidim, Panchthar.

In the last semi-final match held today at Phidim Mavi Stadium, Birtamod secured a place in the final by defeating Karnasingh Sonam Smriti Club of Taplejung by 2-1. 

For Taplejung, Dipesh Limbu took the lead in 7 minutes of the game. However, Taplejung's lead could not last even in the first half.

In the 31st minute of the first half, Roman Bhujel scored for Birtamod and brought the team back into the game. He scored a penalty to equalize 1-1.

Similarly, Pradip Budhathoki doubled the lead by scoring in the injury time of the first half. In the second half, both teams wasted many scoring opportunities. Birtamod's Pradeep Budhathoki was the man of the match in the exciting game. He got 5 thousand in cash.

Dangihat FC of Morang has entered the final after defeating the host Panchthar FC in the first semi-final match held yesterday. The final match will be held on 23rd November.

The winner of the competition will get 4 lakh 4 thousand 444 cash and the runner-up team will get an attractive trophy with cash 2 lakh 2 thousand 222. According to the organizers, the best players will get 25,000 in cash for category awards.
