
Nepal national team drew in their last friendly practice match before going to UAE to play their first match as part of the second round selection tournament of FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup 2027.
Nepal played a 1-1 draw against Nepal Super League champions Kathmandu Razors in the last practice match at Dasharath Stadium on Saturday. Gillespie Jung Karki scored for Nepal. Team Nepal had won the previous three practice matches.
Remember, Nepal is playing the first group stage match against UAE on November 16th (October 30th) as part of the FIFA World Cup and AFC Asian Cup qualifiers. The match is scheduled to be held at the Al Maktoum Stadium in Dubai at 9:30 PM Nepali time.
In the FIFA rankings, Nepal is currently ranked 173rd while UAE is ranked 69th. Apart from UAE, Nepal, which is in Group H in the qualifying tournament, also has a schedule to play against Bahrain and Yemen, another strong team.
