Dallas, Texas, USA, witnessed the thrilling 12th Gorkha Cup football tournament, where Texas FC emerged triumphant, claiming the championship title.

The event took place on a spirited Saturday, October 14th, drawing football enthusiasts from far and wide. DFC Himalayas FC displayed commendable performance but had to settle for the runner-up position.

Additionally, Dallas Gorkha FC showcased their prowess and clinched victory in the over 35-year category, with Goal Buster FC securing the second position. In the under 10-year competition, Galaxy Soccer Academy shone brightly as champions, while the Dallas Gorkha Bhakundo team secured the second spot.

A noteworthy highlight of the event was the honor bestowed upon Pradeep Humagai, former coach of Nepal's national team, for his outstanding contributions to the sport.

The winners of the tournament received cash prizes totaling $21,000, adding to the intensity and prestige of the competition. Impressively, the event drew participation from 26 sports teams spanning the eastern region of America, extending from New York to Western California. This large-scale competition spanned over two days, with matches held on October 14 and 15.

Furthermore, the competition included a dedicated category for participants over 35 years of age, continuing the tradition from the previous year. Thirteen teams passionately vied for glory in this age group. The registration fees for teams partaking in the competition amounted to $1,000, while the fee for those in the over 35-year category was $750. The champions in this category earned a cash prize of $10,000, while the runner-up received $4,000, further accentuating the significance of the tournament.
