News Jhapa: Sanischare FC Enters SFs Of Open District Football Championship

In a scintillating fixture of the district-level knockout football tournament at Arjundhara 11 in Jhapa, Shanishre FC emerged victorious against the home team, Laxmi Dhap Sports Club, this past Sunday.

The match began with a bang as the hosts quickly found the back of the net less than a minute into the game, taking an early lead. However, Shanishre FC, boasting a lineup of seasoned players, relentlessly applied pressure throughout the remainder of the match. Consequently, Shanishre FC secured a commanding place in the semifinals with a resounding 7-3 victory.

Devendra Tamang was the star of the day for Shanishre FC, exhibiting an exceptional performance by netting an impressive four goals and securing the tournament's first hat-trick.

Kritan Vishunge of the hosts had set the tone by scoring in the opening minute of the game and taking the initial lead. In the second minute, Devendra Tamang showcased his free-kick prowess, scoring an exquisite goal to make it 2-1. He further demonstrated his skill with another free-kick goal in the sixth minute, tallying his second personal goal and propelling his team to a 3-1 lead. His remarkable performance culminated with a goal in the 12th minute, completing his well-deserved first hat-trick.

Nima Tamang of Shanishre FC extended the lead by scoring in the 19th minute. However, the home team's Kritan notched his second personal goal in the 20th minute, keeping the game alive. In the 24th minute, Saugat Tamang added to Shanishre FC's tally, making it 5-2. Devendra Tamang continued his scoring spree with a fourth personal goal in the 25th minute. The home team's Babu Dhimal attempted a comeback by scoring in the 32nd minute, but their efforts fell short.

Nima Tamang secured his second personal goal against the hosts, sealing the victory with an impressive 7-3 scoreline. Devendra Tamang of Shanishre FC was rightfully named the "Man of the Match," and he received a cash prize of NPR 2,500 along with a trophy, presented by Bhagirath Ale, the President of Jhapa District Football Association, Chairman of the Organizing Committee Bir Bahadur Rai, comedian Wilson Vikram Rai, and other dignitaries. The competition continues as New Star Club Khopbadi faces off against Birtamod United on Monday.

The winner of the final match, scheduled for October 4, will be awarded a prestigious trophy along with a cash prize of NPR 51,000, while the runner-up will receive a cash prize of NPR 31,000. Furthermore, the tournament's standout player will be rewarded with a cash prize of NPR 5,000, and the best goalkeeper, midfielder, defender, forward, and top scorer will each receive a cash prize of NPR 3,000.
