Leading experts and distinguished visionaries of Asian and world football are poised to take the stage at the highly anticipated inaugural AFC Member Associations (MAs) & Regional Associations (RAs) Presidents’ and General Secretaries’ Conference 2023 in Uzbekistan’s capital city of Tashkent from October 7 to 8.

The prestigious event, will see the Presidents of the MAs and RAs of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) joining their respective General Secretaries for the first time on a platform, which brings together the passion, knowledge, and expertise of football’s foremost figures to explore avenues for further growth and development. Hosted by the Uzbekistan Football Association, the Conference will kick off with an opening address by FIFA President Gianni Infantino followed by a presentation by CONCACAF President Victor Montagliani who is set to provide a comprehensive overview of world football leadership.

The participants will also be looking forward to hearing from the AFC General Secretary Datuk Seri Windsor John on the ways in which the Confederation continuously looks to shape a leadership culture that both inspires and delivers success on and off the field, before FIFA Council Member and Romanian Football Federation President Razvan Burleanu speaks on a transformational pathway to success.

With the giant strides being made in the women’s game, the Conference will also feature FIFA Council Member and Lao Football Federation General Secretary Kanya Keomany, who will focus on the manner in which women’s leadership has been constantly breaking barriers and redefining success.

Further, Saudi Arabian Football Federation Vice President Lamia Bahaian will also share her insights on football as a catalyst for national transformation and progress, whereas Japan Football Association General Secretary Tsuneyasu Miyamoto, will offer his personal perspective on football leadership. Yet another interesting topic to look forward to will be Kleinmann Wang CEO Anter Isaac’s session, which aims to draw the links between good football leadership and the conductor of a symphony orchestra.

The participants will also get the opportunity to hear from Education 4 Peace Founder and Director Mark Milton who will deliver his address on the often overlooked factors – the effects and impact of listening and presence in leadership - while Dr. Mohamad Al-Hakim will be underlining the importance of ethics and integrity in ensuring the sustainable future of Asian football leadership. With distinguished speakers from around the globe offering their insights across a wide range of topics, the AFC Member Associations and Regional Associations Presidents’ and General Secretaries’ Conference 2023 is set to be yet another unforgettable chapter in the Confederation’s steadfast capacity and capability building efforts.
