23rd edition of Budha Subba gold cup kicked off at Dharan stadium on Saturday.

UKFC Darjeeling defeated hosts Dharan FC 5-3 on PSO in the opening match, which was inaugurated by Dharan mayor Harka Sampang Rai.

Avenir FC, Cameroon is playing against Bagmati Club, Sarlahi in second quarterfinal match today.

Eight teams are taking part in the event, which has a winning purse of NRs 10 lakh. Runners up team will get NRs 5 lakh.
