7th Rajarshi Janak Cup: NNJYC Simara Stuns NPC To Enter QFs
Nawa Jana Jagriti yuwa club (NJJYC) Simara has entered quarterfinals of 7th Rajarshi Janak cup football tournament.
NJJYC Simara stunned Nepal Police Club in sudden death on Friday to enter last eight.
Both teams played 0-0 draw in regulation and exta added time.
NJJYC goalie Rohan Magar blocked Ajit Bhandari's kick in sudden death and became the player of the match. He received NRs 10,000 cash.
Hosts Bagmati club is playing against Dharan FC on Saturday.
12 teams are taking part in the event, which has a winning purse of NRs 10 lakh. Runners up team will get NRs 5 lakh.
The MVP of the tournament will get NRS 51,000.
