Chitwan (GoalNepal) - Central College RFC have won the title of the 24th Madi Gold Cup. They defeated KBA Global Bharatpur FC 2-0 in the final to win the title.
RFC were awarded the lead of the match after Sudans Chaudhary put the ball into his own net. Fode Fofana then doubled the lead and won his team the match and the title.
RFC bagged three lakh rupees while the runners-up BFC had to settle for 1.5 lakhs.
Towards individual categories, Saroj Tamang of RFC was named the goalkeeper of the tournament. Sanjay Ramdam of Madi was named the best defender, while Jitesh Gurung of RFC was named the best midfielder. All of them received ten thousand rupees each.
Fode Fofana finished the tournament as the top scorer and received fifteen thousand rupees. Suman Mahato of Madi was named the emerging player of the tournament and bagged 12.5 thousand rupees. Sinha Raj Lama was named the best coach and received 7.5 thousand.
Ganesh Hamal of BFC was named the player of the tournament. He received twenty thousand rupees.
The tournament was organized by Basantapur United Club, Madi, Chitwan and was broadcasted live on GoalNepal.
