
KBA Global Bharatpur Football Club, Chitwan have entered the final of the ongoing 24th Madi Gold Cup Knockout Football Tournament. In the first semi-final held on Wednesday, Bharatpur defeated the home team, Madi-11 2-1 and came close to the title.
Bhishma Chhetri became the hero in Bharatpur's victory in the match in the open ground at Basantpur Bazar. Bhishma scored both goals for Bharatpur to reach the final. Aaswik Dura scored the only goal for the defeated Madi. Madi's Aswik Dura was declared the man of the match. He received 5,000 cash and a trophy as an award.
The organizers informed that the second semi-final match on Thursday, Magh 12, will be played between Chitlang Football Club, Kathmandu and Central College Rampur FC.
The winners of the tournament organized by Basantapur United Club, Madi, Chitwan will get a cash prize of three lakhs and the runner-up will get 150,000. The final will be held on the 14th of Magh.
